Hi, I'm Andrea.
Welcome to the Blog!

When we decided to design and build a home for our family of 8, I had some big-time reservations. My preference leading up to the decision to build was to buy an existing home. It seemed easier, faster, less stressful, and preferable to making the thousands of decisions that come with designing and building a home from scratch.
Fast forward to today, and I have fallen in love with everything to do with designing and building a home that will grow and evolve just as our family does.
While this has definitely not been fast, or easy, it has been far more exciting, engaging, educational, and FUN than I would ever have imagined. There've been hiccups and bumps for sure, but even those things add depth, richness, and meaning to the experience. In short, it has been a joy!

After using Instagram as a "semi-blog" for months, a change was needed to allow for the deeper journaling I've wanted to do, and to accommodate the extent of the details I've wanted to share about our home, as well as writing on other topics. I have a past as a blogger. I've always enjoyed writing, and this blog will be the occasional outlet I go to when I want to write my thoughts, experiences, ideas, stories, history, or just want to share things.

This blog is for all of that. And I'm so glad you're here!
